/Grocery PR News/ - SARASOTA, FL, June 07, 2007 - Roger Ley, OLLO Extra Virgin Olive Oil spokesperson, has announced from his Sarasota, FL office, that his Australian award-winning product is now available in almost all Publix Supermarkets in the Greenwise section. Publix currently has a total of 902 stores throughout the southeast with 652 locations in Florida.
"Publix decided to give us shelf space in the Greenwise section for a couple reasons," says Ley. "Our cold-pressed extra virgin oil is not only 100% natural, but it also has remarkably low acidity." By strict European standards, to be classified as an extra virgin olive oil, the product acidity must not exceed 0.8%. "Our OLLO consistently averages less than 0.3%," he said.
OLLO Extra Virgin won an inaugural Gran Mantion Diploma ARMONIA Award in Spoleto, Italy this year for its exceptional chemical composition. OLLO is Kosher certified.
Ley said that Publix has made room for both blends of OLLO---Fresh & Fruity, cold-pressed from green olives and Mild & Mellow made from mature olives. "Fresh & Fruity is a rich and distinct oil blended with early season green olives. It has delightful fruity olive flavors with fresh grassy aromas and a delicate peppery finish which add life to green salads, grilled seafood, meat and poultry dishes. Fresh & Fruity is a 100% natural extra virgin olive oil and is not infused," explains Ley.
He says Mild & Mellow is 'a delicate oil blended with ripe later season black olives with subtle olive flavors, a soft buttery texture and sweet aromas to complement any dish---particularly pasta and vegetable dishes. It too is 100% natural extra virgin olive oil and is not infused.'
OLLO is a premium mass market product. Both OLLO Extra Virgin blends come in attractive 16.9 (500ML) fluid ounce glass bottles retailing between $9 and $11.
