Mission Grounds Rolls Out Homeless Kids Program for the Holidays
Mission Grounds will be helping homeless children with coats and shoes for the Holidays.
And they have made it easier for customers to help - either purchase some gourmet coffee as a gift or purchase a gift directly for a homeless child
ROSWELL, GA, November 20, 2008 /Grocery PR News/ -- The number of homeless family has skyrocketed in the last few months as had the number of homeless children. As the economy worsens so will the number of homeless increase.
Did you know that 90% of homeless children and adults need a new, warm coat each winter because they have no place to keep one over the summer months? But it's not just homeless people who need our help; thousands of people are forced to make a choice between buying shoes or a winter coat or blankets and putting food on the table, or meeting other basic survival needs.
Each Winter, Mission Grounds Gourmet Coffee collects nearly 1000 gently used winter coats and distributes them to hundreds of men, women, and children who would otherwise go without. This year on October 29th we delivered the coats as part of our Halloween festival to the Seven Bridges Homeless Shelter in Smyrna enlisting several Brownie Girl Scouts to help.

Buy Some Coffee: buy someone a nice Holiday gift of coffee: Mission Grounds offers nice gift baskets, monthly coffee delivery, a nice assortment of coffee and a coffee club. Buy someone a nice gift and all the proceeds go to homeless children
Buy a homeless child a new coat or pair of shoes at www.missiongrounds.com. For ten dollars you can buy a pair of shoes or a coat for a homeless child and we will deliver it directly for you.
Host a Coat Collection - Organize your own coat drive and inspire your coworkers, neighbors, or civic group members to give the gift of warmth this winter.

Make a financial donation - Providing nearly 10,000 coats each winter, as well as our year-round projects, requires an enormous amount of resources. Your donation will help us ensure that every Atlanta who needs a warm coat this year has one.
